How to use 5 minutes for Mindfulness


One great way to use five minutes for mindfulness is to practice mindful breathing. Start in a comfortable position, close your eyes, and take a few slow, deep breaths. Focus on the sensation of your breath as it enters and leaves your body. Allow any thoughts that arise to pass without judgment and return your focus to the breath.


Another way to practice mindfulness in five minutes is to practice a body scan. Starting at the top of your head, focus your attention on each part of your body in turn and become aware of any sensations or emotions you may be feeling. Release any tension that can be causing any holding of pressure. This can help to bring greater awareness of our physical and emotional state. Finally, you can use five minutes to engage in a short mindful activity such as coloring, listening to relaxing music, or practicing mindful movement and prayer.
